Razer Kishi isn't working

The Razer Kishi doesn't seem to be recognized by my phone (Oppo A9 2020) for some reason. It's able to pass-through charge no problem; giving off the blue light and all, but other than that none of the buttons, thumbsticks and triggers aren't responsive whatsoever. I even tried to update through firmware, but obviously wasn't available. Is the product I have defective or is it because the device isn't compatible with my phone?

    Same issue Oneplus A6003. Pass through charging works, controller isn't acknowledged as being connected in the xbox app OR the Kishi app. Tired reinstalling app, no go.
