Razer Kishi v2 Android + iPhone 15 lineup? | Razer Insider
Question

Razer Kishi v2 Android + iPhone 15 lineup?

It is common knowledge now that the iPhone 15 lineup will be moving to USB C. If I am currently an Android user and wants to buy the Razer Kishi v2 controller for Android.. will it work with the iPhone 15 which I intend to buy when it releases? I cannot comfortably buy this controller without knowing it will work with my future device.

Allegedly, yes:

The end of the article states that companies have “confirmed the compatibility”, for paraphrasing purposing, of the Kishi V2 and others.

hope this helps!

I can confirm. I have an iPhone 15 pro max, and bought the android Xbox Kishi v2. It doesn’t work. None of the buttons do anything. It’s like it doesn’t recognize any of the buttons presses. :(

That’s interesting. Another user in a similar thread said their regular Kishi V2 Android (NOT pro) works with their iPhone 15 pro max.

I and others have confirmed that the v2 Pro does NOT work at all with any of the 15 series phones.

I have the Kishi v2 and an iPhone 15 pro max and it’s working very well. The only downside is the size of the camera module. It doesn’t feel steady.

The iPhone 15 may share the same physical port (Aidan-C) with Android phones, but the protocol used to communicate between the controller and iOS is completely different. It’s like two languages sharing the same alphabet like German and French but clearly the grammar and the vocabulary are quite different.
razer will need to update the firmware of the Android controller or release a new version for iPhones with USB-C port

Agree with this. My concern is that while the pro version has clear upgrades, is there incentive for Razer to push out a firmware upgrade when the v2 works fine. Also, from a security standpoint, will Apple even let the features of the pro controller/firmware access the phone through its new usb-c controller.

Has anyone heard anything new on this? I got an iPhone 15 Plus this year and I want to use a Kishi, but I want the Kishi Pro V2 Xbox edition.

ughh I really want that tactical feedback from the v2 pro… Even if the V2 already works as a controller… it still does not support touch screen mapping. Hopefully they are working on a v3 now that fixes

  1. the camera module sticking out
  2. tactical feedback on iphone 15
  3. touch screen mapping <this is so necessary...>
  4. Nexus :)

Hello. When will the Razer Kishi V2 Pro Xbox edition be updated to the iPhone 15?.
