Razer Kishi V2 not detected

I’m kind of perplexed about what to do next.

My situation is as follows :

My fiancee and I have the same phone (LG Velvet 5G) on Android 13. My Razer Kishi V2 would work on hers but won’t on mine. It had before I factory reset it.

• Observation: when connecting on my fiancee’s phone. The text would appear on the bottom of the screen and says “Keyboard has been connected”. This would not appear on mine.

• I’ve looked at my usb connector for anything that would obstruct or for any damage. Nothing.

• I’ve looked at some forums saying that I should enable certain developer options. USB debugging, for example. As it has no relation to the problem at hand.

• I thought maybe it was an issue with my phone's compatibility with the USB OTG. From what I understand, this option is present in pretty much all newer phones.

• I thought maybe I should update the firmware of the Kishi (I mean since everything fails so far). Unfortunately, I can’t. The Kishi app is not available on my phone. Nowhere to be found in the Google App Store.

• I restart my Velvet, turn it off and wait to turn it back on. I insert, then remove, then insert, etc. No connection message.

So I don’t know what to do anymore.

All my wishes and a big thanks for any comments or tips.

Just received mine in the mail yesterday. Connected and played with it. Removed the phone and replaced the rubber so I could use with my case. When I plugged it back in it was no longer being recognized. Tested on my other phone and it still works, even after connecting and disconnecting multiple times. Bump.

Hi, I have the same issue. I just bought the controller and it's not being detected by my S23 Ultra, I tried with a S22 Ultra as well and still is not detected, both devices have Android 13. Was anyone able to solve this?

Hello people, I also had the same problem, I thought it was the fault of some phone update, but it was solved after cleaning the phone's charging port. It may be something silly or circumstantial but it worked for me. ඞ

Hi guys, I have solved the issue.

I connected the razer kishi controller to another phone brand (Motorola in my case) and then I updated the controller's firmware using the nexus app. Then, I connected the controller to my S23 Ultra again and it worked!

Make sure you are connecting correctly the controller, because of the phone thickness, press it until the phone doesn't move any more against the controller.

I hope it works for you too!

Cheers from Argentina!
