Razer Kiyo Pro firmware

I recently needed to use my Kiyo Pro again. I plugged it in cause it used to always act so buggy and I figured there would be a firmware update by now. There is it’s currently on 1.0.3 and now 1.5 is available.

 

HOWEVER when I download the firmware updater after it recognizes it it says that I have to contact Razer Customer Support to update. I go through the support to contact but after putting my serial number in it says it’s no longer eligible for support. WTF

 

This might have been the most pointless $150 I ever spent on a webcam. How am I supposed to update this thing and get it working?

I created a support ticket and was informed that the firmware upgrade for my camera (bought still in 2022) was not compatible with the camera and they offered to replace the device… hope it helps!

I have the exact same problem… also feeling frustrated especially when I see on Razer site that the product is not longer supported… so how to solve this problem and get the device upgraded?

I am having the very same issue here… following for updates on resolving this problem. This camera was only released February 2021… no reason it shouldn’t still be supported!

Was it under warranty still?

In Europe the warranty is 2 years so yes, still under warranty.

Currently going at it with support about a replacement. They are really dragging it out how they cannot help without proof of purchase. This was a gift for Christmas for me December 2021. I do not find it appropriate to ask someone for the receipt for a gift. As far as everything else they have asked of me I have given them everything. They’ve asked for. 

 

I am just here to vent about how frustrating the entire process has been for me. I’ve spent a lot money on Razer products over the years and what they are pulling on me is really putting a sour taste in my mouth. Especially from a company who has an entire marketing plan aimed at gifting during the holidays. 

 

They can still make this right, but if they don’t I am afraid that I may have to support another company going forward.

Contact the support team. If there’s anything possible to do, they will know what and how. I have my new camera and it’s working fine!

 

The old one is simply not possible to update the firmware...

I get the same message.  The kicker is that this is a brand new, in the box, Kiyo Pro, and their automated tool says the unit is out of warranty!  I just unwrapped it today, purchased directly from the Razer store on Amazon.

As long as you have the invoice and it’s from an official store or reseller, then you should be good. Contact the support team and explain it as you did here and attach the documents. Good luck!

Could we have the older firmwares available, because i am having problems with the 1.5 version. currently i am unable to use this on my pc, and it appears black and white in my laptop.

Same problem here. Finally tried updating firmware to see if it fixes problem, which is: after PC sleep or reboot, camera is not seen by Device Manager. To use, I have to unplug and reconnect. It’s been like this since I bought it from local store. Occasionally I install Synapse, only to find it’s even more unreliable, even after a connection cycle.

 

So it seems there’s no fix for the unplug/replug requirement, which I have to do daily for developer meetings.

I have encountered the exact problem.  All I wanted to do was adjust the video settings but Now I can’t access the  Razer software because I can’t get past the Product registration page popup that says my warranty is expired.  I cant even download the driver to reinstall.  This is CRAZY!!!! What kind of product support is this?  I will have to go buy a different brand and I will Definity put this sin the product review.  And I cant seem to contact support because the warranty is expired.  What do we consumers do now????

An now the goofy 2 step authentication process has locked me out of my account.  How do we speak with a human to resolve this issue?  I’m just getting mor and more frustrated with this company.
