Razer Kiyo Pro Power Surge issues | Razer Insider

My camera has suddenly developed issues with power on a Windows 11 PC. I get a Windows Explorer error stating:

Power surge on the USB port

Unknown USB Device needs more power than the port can supply

With a subsequent message saying:

A USB device has malfuntioned and exceeded the power limits of its hub port

I’ve tried everything I can - checking / updating all the USB settings so that they are in Power state D0 and have the ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’ option is unticked.

This is causing the error on all the USB ports that the PC has, as well as those on the Plugable USB 3.0 connected to the PC and also causes the same error on my laptop.

I am using the cable supplied with the camera to test this and it was working perfectly on 26 June. Has this device simply failed? The device has been left unchanged in the meantime so it’s hard to tell why it might suddenly have stopped working but this is terribly frustrating. I have had issues in the past where it’s simply stopped working (and frozen my PC) during Teams calls so this might also have been a power issue although no errors were shown by the PC at the time.
