Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra suddenly stops working. Any ideas?

Hello I bought my Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra last year and has been using it without problems.

I have a Razer Synapse 4 already installed a few days ago. A lot of my peripherals got problems but eventually was able to fix them.

Just recently, I was using the webcam for a video call. dropped the call after and tried calling another one. Suddenly it stops working. The PC does not recognized that there was a camera plugged in. It was still with a steady white light. So i tried unplugging and plugging it in again. Now there was no light. Tried other ports but still not working. Tried to install the latest driver but even razer cannot detect it. Tried plugging it in to my laptop but no avail.

I have not used it in anywhere else but video calls and online meetings.

Any help would do.

I’m in the exact same boat. I’ve tried a full re-install of everything razer on my computer and it still doesn’t work. It shows up as a device on my computer, but anytime I try to preview it or turn it on, it immediately disconnects. Let me know if you figure anything out.

I’m having the same issue with this camera.

I fixed my camera, it ended up just being the cable. Not sure if I had a mini power surge, or if something happened when I crashed, but the cable looked physically fine but when I swapped it out with a new one, the camera started functioning as normal again.

tl;dr: replace the cable

Thanks for replying. I discovered that my issue is an actual short in the camera. I tried 3 different high throughput cables and the issues kept happening. It cause both of my workstations and personal system to lock up when the camera is used. It’s a behavior that normally happens when the camera has a short. I’ve already got a replacement on the way. It sucks because the picture quality on this thing was amazing.
