My webcam Razer Kiyo stopped working. I had it plugged in my computer, one day the ring light started flashing and I disconnected it because I wasn’t using it at the moment and didn’t pay much attention to it. I was playing a game that uses the camera for headtracking, and during that time, although the camera was connected and working, I wasn’t using it because I didn’t need the headtracking at that moment. So I disconnected it.
I have been trying to use it and now it doesn’t work properly, whenever I try to start using it, it makes a flash and stops working. I was on former version of Synapse 3, with older firmware for the camera. I updated the camera firmware and I still had the same issue. I updated to Synapse 4 and same problem. I tried different USB ports but it still had the same problem.
On the synapse app I see that the system recognises the camera, but when I click on the camera to enter camera preview and settings it closes quickly, like if it disconnects or stops being recognised by the system. I never get any image output on the camera preview, it just shows the settings for a brief moment before closing.
I tried opening Windows camera app but it gives error codes like Nocamerasaretattached, Windowshowfailed or Activecameraunplugged.
The game that uses the camera for headtracking can’t be played when the camera is plugged, it crashes on start because it uses the camera from the begining.
