Razer Kiyo stops working and the light ring flashes and a humming noise is heard

Hello, I am also having the same problem reported on

After updating with the driver RazerKiyo_0E03_FirmwareUpdater_v2.3.2_r2.exe the buzzing disappeared, but the device's light ring continues to blink, additionally it disappears from the razer synapse but the light remains on until I disconnect it from the pc.

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

I have the same problem. Razer Kiyo stopped working yesterday, almost exactly 2 years and 1 month after purchase, 1 month after warranty ended. Is this what it seems to be? Jyst planned obsolecence? I updated firmware (suprizingly it succeeded), but the camera still does not work. Exactly the same issue as myriads of people on the internet - flicker of the light ring + humming sound, Razer Synapse sees the camera, but when I click on the device it starts the noise and says the device is disconnected.

Yes, that is the issue of the Razer Kiyo. I ended up throwing it out and buy something else.

I will try the soldering solution (shorting the F1 fuse) suggested on Reddit and on some other threads here related to this issue. It is after the warranty anyway, so I might as well try it. I was able to disassemble the camera without any damage,  that’s a plus. I will post what was the result when I’m done.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that. I also read that before and tried to solder the F1. Luck isn’t on my side, it bricked the camera,, hehe! Best of luck.

For me it worked, just short-circuiting the F1 fuse. The camera is functional again, I will see how long it will last.
