Razer kraken 7.1

have bought these headphones and am a bit disappointed. They do not have a usb connection so sinapse does not recognize them. It also says that they are 7.1 but I understand that this cannot be activated in any way, can it? I would like to receive help on how I should connect them to take advantage of 7.1 and know if I am missing something. Thank you
