Razer Kraken Kitty disconnecting and now isn't recognized by my PC | Razer Insider

This is my second razer kraken kitty headset, the first one kept disconnecting and reconnecting so i exchanged it for a new one after a month. I’ve had these headphones probably since 2020 but I have always had issues with the headset disconnecting and reconnecting which makes a really loud popping sound. This usually would only happen if i connected my headset to my laptop while it was on, if i plugged them in when the laptop was off or if i plugged them in and then restarted the popping would go away. I thought at the time the issue was that I was using a MS surface pro which didn’t run super well. I now have a lenovo legion 5 and the connectivity issues are still there but they were infrequent enough to be bearable.

Within the last 2 weeks the headset disconnects and reconnects almost every 5 seconds and it makes using it impossible. I tried looking up some of the fixes people have found and decided to reinstall razer synapse 3. Now when i plug the headset in it only connects for a second and then disconnects. The rgb turns on and doesn’t turn off when it disconnects. “Razer Kraken Kitty Edition” will pop up for a second in the windows output devices and then goes away. The other two fixes I’ve found online are reinstalling the drivers and turning off the rgb. The problem is that since it doesnt stay connect for long enough neither razer synapse or my device manager show that its there. I dont think its a cable or usb issue. There are no kinks or bends in the cable and I’ve plugged the usb into all 3 of the ports on my laptop. I’ve tested these ports with my razer viper mini and they all work fine. I am not sure what else i can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello angelic-ashh,

I’m sorry to hear about the connection issue you've been experiencing with your Razer Kraken Kitty. For us to isolate the problem, please try using the headset on a different computer without Synapse installed. Check if the issue happens on the other computer. If so, PM me your device serial number so I can provide additional steps. All the best!
