I've had this problem for several months now and it's getting really annoying. My headset isn't even a year old yet.

Basically, I will be playing, or chatting on discord or whatever and the headset makes a popping sound as if it had been unplugged (And the sound output is switched to my speakers since the machine isn't detecting the headset anymore). After the popping sound it makes another popping sound as if it was plugged in again and then it works fine. Sometimes it happens over and over until I actually unplug the headset and plug it in again (this is no solution since it will happen again eventually).

I've tried switching to every USB port I have but the problem persists. I don't know why or how but this seems to be triggered by the cable. I try not to move too much while playing because the most gentle touch to the cable may trigger the issue.

This problem goes beyond just sound and mic. If it happens while playing Terraria, the game will freeze and stop responding, it may then crash or start responding again but muted.

Is there any solution I can do on my own or should I contact the shop where I got it from?
