I’ve had my Razer Kraken Kitty Edition (Quartz) for less than a year and have run into an issue with disconnecting/reconnecting.

It first started happening around March of this year, and turning off the RGB function seemed to be a temporary fix. Then it started again even with the lights off, and uninstalling Synapse completely seemed to fix it.

This week the issue started again. There are no kinks or issues with the cord and the USB has no damage to it. I have no reinstalled Synapse. My USB ports on my PC do not have an issue, I’ve tested multiple devices. This is also an issue when using a work laptop and USB dock, as well as a second home PC.

I have seen other tickets with this issue but there doesn’t seem to be a solution. The headset is currently unusable because of the issues. Is anyone aware of a solution? At this point unfortunately I’m looking at having to get a new headset since this one does not function.

I’ve got the same issue. I bought mine in late 2020 and started having the issue around a year ago, luckly I was still just within warrenty so I was sent a replacement. However the replacement has not started to get the same issue AGAIN. I could only give you temporary solutions which “fix” it for 5 minutes to a day maybe more, nothing ive tried has managed to solve it properly. 
 

I’ve just figured out that the hardware mute (the red ring light on the mic)  causes the disconnecting issue. Whenever it reconnects the default state of the mute is on which is what causes it to disconnect again, the way around that is to unmute it just as it reconnects.

I have the black version of the Kitty Kraken, and I was experiencing the same issues when my audio levels were too high or I launched a game. 

 

The way I fixed it was by ensuring I had the latest Windows update, and both AMD/Nvidia and synapse drivers updated to the most recent one.

Then I permanently fixed mine by reducing the RGB brightness levels VIA synapse to around 50-70%. This entirely depends on the strength of your power supply. The more watts you have, the brighter you can have it without experiencing the reconnecting/disconnecting.

I managed to fix mine by switching to the USB 2 ports on my device instead of the USB 3.2 ones. I’ve got no idea why this fixes it. I’m too lazy to figure out why so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Its good to see there's finally some fixes for this. Hopefully this tread can help anyone else who has this issue, it seems like the only one to do with this.

My Kraken Kitty set disconnects only when I’m playing ESO. No other time. Mid-game I’ll get a “usb doesn’t recognize your device” message but also all of my USB devices, mouse, keyboard, camera, forcing me to reboot.

If I don’t have the Kraken headset plugged in it doesn’t happen with other headphones.
Only playing ESO which was why I bought the headset in the first place.
I looked for a firmware update but don’t see one for this model.

I’ll give the mic mute method a try.
