Razer Kraken Kitty Edition - Sound device reset/audio dropout | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello,

I don't think this is much of an unfamiliar issue here, but with regard to my seemingly random audio dropout issues, I've found an issue in a specific video that causes the audio to drop out and reset the device every single time a certain instant of the video plays, whether all Razer applications are open or closed.

The instant in question is at 19:38-19:39. The instant of the YouTuber's reaction to a line in the video causes an immediate reset of the sound device.

My audio randomly drops out regardless, but this is unique.
I didn't see any way to edit my post, so here are the logs I collected.

Have you checked in your event viewer if theres an error or something?
There don't seem to be, though I do see a suspicious entry that notes 'Error setting traits on Provider' that occurred around one of the tests. I didn't check last night, so I can't be sure.

During my testing this morning I was able to eliminate the error by setting the EQ in Synapse to Default and reducing system volume. I had previously been using the 'Game' setting. With max volume in YouTube and System, the device would reset when he exclaimed into the microphone.

I know that you want to show the issue the best way you can. Have you checked if the behavior happens to all audio/video-related files and apps? Please send me the computer's MSinfo logs and the headset's serial number. Save the compressed files via Google Drive or any online drive account, then paste the link in your PM. Let's continue our conversation privately. I'll be locking this thread now.
