Razer Kraken Kitty Headset repeatedly disconnects and reconnects only in Discord voice channels

Hello! Hope you can help with an issue that's driving me insane. My Razer Kraken Kitty Edition (USB) headset works completely fine doing anything else like listening to music, playing games, watching videos etc. but as soon as I join a discord voice channel it disconnects and reconnects repeatedly... it can happen once every 5 seconds or once every 10 mins, doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. I'll usually disconnect and reconnect the USB and MOST of the time it works fine after that, other times I'll have to do it again. Please can anyone help? Thank you, much appreciated.

    Is the headset connected directly to your computer's USB port? If it's a desktop PC, please plug the device into its rear USB port and see how it goes.
