Razer Kraken Kitty microphone not working outside of razer synapse

The mic worked fine when playing games until it just stopped, and in every game / application, even sound settings it detects super duper low input or none at all from the mic, except for in synapse where it is working perfectly, i’ve seen some other people have this issue but no one has posted a solution so I am wondering how to fix this issue so the mic works in games / applications outside of synapse? (the original kitty edition with pointy ears and the long skinny mic)
