Dear Razer,



I already got my second pair of Kraken Kitty Headset after the first one broke completly out of nothing.

Now with the second pair, Razer THX spatial keeps crashing randomly with sound breaking and all equalizer + enhancement settings turning of.

Your software is trash and the recent update just made things worse with the headset not being recognized at all sometimes.

I tried to clean install Razer Synapse several times now, sometimes it works just fine for a while and then it starts happening again for no reason whatsoever.

Please fix this trash software for the headset or I have to RMA it again and this time you gonna lose your customer and I will not accept a replacement.

I am so tired of this software issue.
Also things I already tried:

- Switching USB-Ports

- Updating USB Drivers and Audio Drivers

- Trying it on another PC

- Clean THX + Razer out of Registry

- Delete Drivers from Device Manager

- Use DISM and sfc commands to fix potential WIndows issues



This is 100% a software issue since if i disable THX the problems disappear with it, but ofc i lose the 7.1 capabilitys that I payed for.

Also if I quit Steam, THX crashes 90% of the time for whatever reason. The problem is not Steam specific tho because THX crashes even if Steam is disabled.



Edit: Seems other users with the same headset have the same problem right now

Try uninstalling the Razer Synapse 3.0 app, then download a fresh installer but don't install it yet. Connect the headset's wireless dongle to your computer and initiate the Razer Synapse installation and let it go through several updates. Once done, select the Razer Kraken Kitty from the device list and go to its mixer tab. You should see a window containing the toggle for THX Spatial Audio and ensure that it's activated. Open any program that will output sounds, such as games and media apps. From there, you will be able to change the output setting from "Stereo" to "Surround Sound". I’ll be locking this thread now.
