Razer Kraken Pro V2 Records Weird When Wire Slightly Moved | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello all,

This is my first post here so please let me know if I'm not meant to post this or if this is the wrong place or something, sorry about that if so.

I bought a Razer Kraken Pro V2 and it's absolutely brilliant. The mic is really superb quality, much greater than I'd expected. However, I've descovered a problem when using it while recording audio. While speaking, occasionally the recording will drop out and be replaced with like static sort of thing. From what I can tell, this happens when the wire is moved, even slightly. If I record with the write hanging down with abolustely nothing touching it and I don't move my head too much, it's generally fine, but that's quite difficult to do.

I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if anyone knows how ot fix this maybe?

Thanks.

Here's a picture for reference. The part above the green area is when it's recording fine and above the red area is when it goes all weird.

Hi there! Welcome to Razer Insider. Let me help you out with this. Have you tried to plug the headset to another device like a smartphone to see if the same thing happens?

That's a good idea. I've never done that before though, is there a way I can make sure the audio from the smartphone is being recorded from the headset and not from the phone itself? I presume I just plug in the headset and use the voice recorder function?

Yes. That should be good. Let me know how it goes.

I just tried it on my phone and iPad and both the same problem. It's kind of fine at first, maybe a bit of static, then as soon as I make a slight movement that causes the wire to move it goes haywire.
Thanks for the update. Please PM me the serial number of your Kraken Pro V2. Include the link as well.
