Razer Kraken V3 Hypersense Windows volume mixer issue | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

I have recently bought a Kraken V3 Hypersense and for the first two days the THX spatial audio features were working fine.

However after those two days I realized that I could no longer individually and gradually control the apps volume levels in windows audio mixer. I could only shift the volume between 0 or 100%, the only way to gradually lower or raise volume was through the main headphone slider itself which is not a solution.

As to what has changed after those two days, I did (foolishly) update synapse and also noticed windows forced two updates on me.

Since then I’ve been scouring these forums wondering if others might have had a similar problem, to which I’ve found countless threads with no known solution.

I have found though that disabling sound enhancements on windows sound panel does allow me to have control over the apps volume sliders, however that also disables the thx spatial sound features and the EQ and mic improvements which honestly are a selling point of this headset and brand.

So far I’ve tried reinstalling synapse, reinstalling kraken v3 and thx drivers, plugging and unplugging the usb cord, fiddling with sound enhancements, checking and unchecking allowing application to take exclusive control and other related options.

So I post this issue again like countless others, in the hopes that you will provide me with a solution and not a workaround which will render the features of this headset useless.
