Razer Kraken V4 Pro left ear not working

So, I bought this headset in November 2024. I have only used a few times since then, because I had ear surgery and I couldn’t use the headset.  2 days ago I was on a Teams call, and the left ear went quiet.  I am hard of hearing in my right ear, so it’s vital for that headphone to work. I have tried it on my laptop and desktop, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Synapse.  I am not sure what else to do at this point.  Can someone please help me?

Hello chelleigh,

I understand that the left ear of your Razer Kraken V4 Pro isn’t working as expected. Since you’ve already tried the headset on both a laptop and desktop and reinstalled Synapse, I’d like toask a few questions below so we can isolate the problem:

  • Are you using it via 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, USB wired, or 3.5 mm?
  • Does the left ear stay quiet in all apps, or only in Teams?
  • If you test with music or a video, is the left side also quiet there?
  • Does the same issue happen in both wireless and wired modes?
  • Have you checked whether the left/right audio balance is centered in Windows?
  • Are the headset’s on-earcup controls working normally, including the volume dial, mic mute button, multi-function button, and Sensa HD Haptics button?

In the meantime, please go through the steps in this article. Also, please make sure the headset is updated to the latest firmware. If possible, please test at least two different connection modes and let me know whether the left side fails in all of them. That will help determine whether this is a software issue or a possible hardware problem. Fell free to PM with the headset serial number and proof of purchase for warranty option. All the best!
