Razer Kraken X Lite microphone problem


Hello there guys, I am new to forums so I will apologize in advance if I am breaking some community guidelines while posting this post. I came here to seek for help after posting a ticket for Razer Support about my problem with Razer Kraken X Lite headset. My problem goes: - I've bought Razer Kraken X Lite headset (3.5 audio jack version) which came with Razer Surround 7.1 sound application. - Audio is crystal clear, works fine as well as 7.1 version, while Surround app is running. Problem came when I tried to make microphone pick up my voice. In fact, microphone device is not even shown in my devices. Tried enabling/disabling audio devices, uninstalling and installing drivers, after that I tried uninstalling and installing audio drivers (it was Realtek's drivers as default ones on my ASUS ROG laptop, Windows 10 Pro OS.) and still I got no luck in making it work. My occupancy is Software Engineer and I really tried all kinds of "fix-it" advices I could found on the Internet about this problem, which are included in previous mentioned steps ... and no results. I can't figure it out as it seems it is not driver conflict problem but device's/divice's driver's problem iteself from my point of view. I have Razer DeatAdder mouse and Razer Cynosa (Chroma) keyboard which are working just fine. Both USB versions (if it matters anyway). Thing is, those two products came with some sort of drivers, as they installed Razer Synapse and are being updated from there from time to time. This headset, in exception with Surround 7.1 application, did not have any drivers to be installed. I can't even find them on Internet, I guess there are not publicly available or something like that... Can anyone help me out further with this, any of you unfortunate guys with similar problems solved? I appreciate all help, and thank you for your time if you are still reading this. Have you figured out the answer to this problem? Mine is doing the same thing and i cannot figure it out

Unfortunately not yet mate. Hoped someone here would have more experience with those things and maybe point me out to something I overlooked in the process. If I figure it out I will post back here for sure. Right now I just find myself thinking that I just needed to give some extra money and buy Kraken X USB version which seems to work just fine... but this one looked dope lol!

@S3nse7 @Allyy_katt PM me with the serial number of your Kraken X Lite so I can help you further isolate the issue. For now, please test your headsets on a smartphone to check if the mic works at all.

The OP's mic was deemed defective as it would not work on multiple platforms. You will want to test the mic on a smartphone if you have the same issue. Send me your results via PM.
