Razer Kraken X Lite sounds like trash?

Just got my Kraken X Lite and I was really disappointed by it. Coming from a 20 quid Chinese ripoff headset, I thought it would be better. It is not. The sound is hollow and sounds like it is coming from the inside of a can, and my friends hate the way the mic sounds, along with it being impossible to use for recording voice-overs like I used to with my old headset, because it is so noisy and ruins the audio quality. Is there any way I can fix any of this?

You ever find a fix for this? Apparently I was stupid enough to buy a pair of these and they sound like complete and utter garbage, which I guess is fair since it matches the way they look and feel.
