Razer Lancehead problems

Hi Guys,
The internet has run out of answers so I am coming here in a final desperate way to look for a solution.
I have a Lancehead Wireless. A couple of days ago it stopped working in wireless mode and I am unable to find a solution.
I have installed Razer Synapse 4 as well as the lightning module.

  • I updated the mouse driver
  • When updating the USB dongle (Lancehead Dock Firmware Updater), the inserting of the USB dongle is not recognized on both my main PC as well as my laptop - nothing happens and I can only press cancel
  • When trying to pair the mouse (Lancehead Wireless Pairing Utility) with the USB dongle, it doesn't detect the USB dongle and I can only press cancel
  • I also tried the Lancehead Wireless Firmware Updater which also doesn’t do anything.
  • I tried resetting thou mouse by pressing left, right and center mouse button for much longer than 7 seconds but that also didn't do anything.
  • I tried updating the dongle and repairing the dongle with the mouse on my laptop as well; to no avail.

So I can only use the mouse like a wired mouse, using Synapse to assign keys etc, I can also change the lighting when wired. But I cannot get it to work in wireless mode. Apart from the drawback of having a wire on the mouse, the scroll wheel of the Lancehead does not work properly when the mouse is wired. It frequently scrolls 2 down and 1 up, or vice versa in stead of what you want it to do.

I love this mouse for it's versatility and me (a lefty) being able to use a decent gaming mouse that is not right handed. Anyone that has a solution I can still explore?

TY

Hello there, @bbbBennie3000!

It seems like you’ve done all the necessary workarounds. By the way, you mentioned that you’ve tried it with a laptop, do you have a primary computer as well? Let me know via PM along with your mouse’s serial number so I can validate it in our database and for proper documentation. Looking forward to your response!
