Hello,
In the Razer Leviathan V2 settings, I checked the "Switch off lighting" option. But when I turn off the computer, the RAZER devices turn off automatically except for the Leviathan V2. It is always on RGB lighting. What steps do I need to take to make the device work properly?

Dear Razer Support Team,

Here are the steps I have already taken:

  • Updated the firmware to v1.07.00.1043_r1
  • Performed a hard reset (held the power button for 10 seconds until indicators turned off)
  • Tried a factory reset
  • Disconnected all cables and held the power button for 20–30 seconds to discharge residual power
  • Switched and disabled USB ports to rule out connectivity issues

Unfortunately, none of these actions resolved the problem. The device is still not functioning as expected.

Could you please provide step-by-step official instructions on how to properly configure the Razer Leviathan V2 so that it meets the specified parameters after the firmware update?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Also for your information:
When I put my PC to sleep, the Razer Leviathan V2 speaker system turns off the RGB lighting. And when the PC is completely turned off, the RGB remains on.

Dear Razer Support Team,
I am writing a follow‑up regarding my Razer Leviathan V2 soundbar. In my previous message I explained that I was trying to disable RGB lighting when the PC is powered off. Since then, I have reviewed suggestions from the Razer community forum and applied several BIOS adjustments on my ASUS Prime B650M‑A II motherboard (including enabling ErP Ready and modifying LED Lighting options).
Despite these changes, the Leviathan V2 RGB lighting remains active in S5 (shutdown) state. As these steps were based on community discussions rather than official Razer guidance, I would like to confirm the following directly with your support team:
- Does the Leviathan V2 officially support complete RGB shutdown in S5 state, or is it designed to remain powered via USB standby?
- Are there firmware updates or Razer Synapse settings that can disable RGB lighting when the PC is off?
- What configuration do you recommend to ensure proper energy‑saving compliance while disabling RGB illumination?
I appreciate your assistance and would be grateful for official clarification, as community advice has not resolved the issue.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best regards,

Yurii

Dear Razer Support,
I would like to follow up on Case ID: 260308-000522.
I want to emphasize that I have spent a significant amount of time trying to configure my Razer Leviathan V2, carefully adjusting BIOS settings and Synapse options. The Synapse software clearly indicates the "Switch off lighting when display is off" function, which works correctly for other Razer devices I own. However, it does not work for the Leviathan V2, leaving the RGB lighting active even after shutdown.
For a premium product at this price point, this behavior feels unacceptable and misleading. It is frustrating to see a function officially listed in Synapse but not supported by the device. This creates unnecessary inconvenience and undermines customer trust.
I kindly ask you to escalate this case to your engineering team and provide a clear explanation and timeline for when this issue will be addressed in firmware or software updates. Customers deserve transparency and a proper solution.
Sincerely,

Yurii

I, too, have the exact same issue along with my Mouse Dock Pro. All other Razer products turn off as normal (BlackWidow v4 keyboard and Basalisk v3 mouse). I’ve done the same as the OP has done all the way through the BIOS settings and nothing works. Please advise.

Hello,

I’ve had (and still have) the same issue with my Leviathan V2. I reached out directly to Razer Support, and they’ve been very helpful — guiding me through all possible troubleshooting steps and continuing to investigate the problem.
From my experience, I strongly recommend that you also contact Razer Support directly. They respond quickly (in my case, within 24 hours) and will provide you with clear instructions tailored to your device. This way, you’ll get official guidance and won’t waste time repeating steps that don’t work.

Best regards,

Yurii

The only option to turn lighting off on devices that have rgb control with Razer audio app or Razer Chroma RGB app is to go into the app and set the device to static and choose black. #000,000,000. These devices are meant to work with an external source and have lighting. For example Nommo v2 has a shortcut key press. Volume down and power at same time will cycle the built in RGB and there is an off option there. With Chroma wireless ARGB controller you have to go into the mobile device chroma app and set to static with the setting 000,000,000.

You might find a shortcut key for Leviathan v2 in the manual. I have Leviathan v2x and have to set this in the mobile app.

Hello,

I need to correct my previous comment. At first, Razer Support informed me that the RGB lighting issue with the Leviathan V2 was a defect. Based on that, I advised contacting them directly. However, in their latest response they clarified that this behavior is actually a design feature — the device has its own power supply and the lighting does not turn off automatically after PC shutdown.!

Please disregard my earlier message. It was a mistake caused by relying on contradictory information from Razer Support.

I did, in fact, contact Razer Support. Their reply was similar: Since it’s wall-powered, it won’t turn off. That’s a bit strange, as the option exists in Synapse 4 to “Switch off lighting when display is turned off.” Why is this option present if it doesn’t work?

The other issue, is that I have a Mouse Dock Pro which exhibits the same problem - lighting is always on. This device is powered by USB, just like my keyboard, so why does it stay on - there is no wall power for this. It seems like the initial reply from Support is just a way out.

Dear All!

Razer presents itself as a “pro‑gaming” brand, yet this case shows a serious gap in product knowledge and communication. The issue centers on the Leviathan V2 soundbar’s RGB lighting: the official manual and Synapse software promise an automatic shutdown when the PC/display is turned off, but in reality the feature does not work.
Support initially told customers this was a defect, then reversed their position and claimed it was “normal” behavior because the device has its own power supply. This contradiction between documentation and reality has already led to widespread confusion — forums and Reddit are full of frustrated users asking the same questions without clear answers.
Such miscommunication undermines trust. If Razer does not revise its documentation and improve communication, these problems will continue to erode customer confidence and damage their reputation in the gaming hardware market.

Best regards,

Yurii

Dear Mark!

From what I’ve gathered, Razer’s idea was actually good — to provide an automatic lighting shutdown for power saving. Unfortunately, the implementation feels unfinished and doesn’t work properly. The internet is full of similar questions, and very few clear answers are available. In my view, this feature still needs refinement and alignment with their documentation so that users aren’t left confused.

Best regards,

Yurii
