Razer Mouse Dock Pro stopped charging

Last month I purchased a Razer Naga V2 pro, since I didn’t wanna bother with constantly charging it by plugging and unplugging a cable I also bought the Mouse dock pro. Unfortunately the latter doesn’t seem to work anymore. I noticed today that no matter what I do the battery indicator does not change to charging. Leaving it on the puck for half an hour in fact made the battery charge go down from 37% to 36%. If I connect it via a cable it does charge up.

I've tried turning off the mouse before putting it on the dock. I've fully uninstalled Razer Synapse, rebooted the PC and then installed the latest version (4.0. [removed by moderator] ). I'm not sure what else I can try. 90€ for a light up puck that otherwise doesn’t function as it should is expensive decoration.. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Other things I've tried:

  • Connecting the dock via another UBS port: didnt help
  • Switching the mouse to off, then bluetooth, then back to 2.4ghz (what I'm using to connect) made it charge once. After taking it off it doesn’t work again when putting mouse back on the dock.
  • Charging the mouse via cable works fine, the indicator changes to charging and the percentage increases,

Hello adastrah,

I understand that your Razer Naga V2 Pro isn’t charging on the Razer Mouse Dock Pro. To isolate the issue, make sure your mouse is set to 1000 Hz polling rate only. If the same issue occurs, please perform the steps below:
1. Ensure updating the firmware on both your mouse and the dock. Use the links below:

2. Clean the pogo pins on the dock and the charging pins on the mouse using a Q-tip or a lint-free microfiber cloth to ensure a proper connection. See How to clean Razer devices
3. Make sure the Mouse Dock Pro is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC, not through a USB hub.
4. If possible, test the dock and mouse on a different computer without Razer Synapse installed to rule out any software issues.

If the problem persists, please PM me with your device’s serial number so I can check for other workarounds. All the best!
