Still doesn't explain why it would work, but I will give it a go anyway.

Any chance this actually worked for you?  I don’t feel like changing motherboard settings off from random forum comments.

MSI Fast Boot really works, because it disables the “check” of USB devices when turned on. The only problem is that to get into the BIOS again you will need to be from under Windows. The del key will not work in this case (with MSI Fast boot enabled). Any manipulations that are described here on the forum do not work or work but crookedly.

Nope didn't work, didn't really think it would when I read up on it.   The mouse dock pro is just a paperweight now.  It's been swapped once. Razer won't acknowledge it's a driver problem (the dock shows on device manager as a non working usb device on multiple computers).  Junk product, junk support!

I have mine plugged into a USB brick so I can charge my mouse when the computer is off.  I am guessing there will never be a fix for MSI motherboards.

Does yours do this in Device Manager when you connect it?  Seems to only happen from a hard boot, if the PC is already on when connecting the dock it is recognised and works.

I tried all the various things and still run into the issue where I have to unplug and plug back in the Dock Pro usb cable for it to work correctly on boot.

Reinstalled drivers, All the Fast boot things are off etc.

@NuggetsMT07 That is how it shows up when you need to unplug and plug it back in for the issue.

The clean install to Synapse 4 fixed this issue for me.  All other solutions didn’t work or caused other undesirable system behavior.  Save yourself some time and follow the guy’s advice on page 4 of this thread and ignore all other suggestions in this thread.  Don’t forget to run the Razer driver cleaner from the elevated command prompt.

They finally solved the issue with the November 2024 firmware!!

everything remains the same. When loading Windows 11 it does not detect the dock pro. it really is a paperweight jajajaja

The November firmware update seems to have worked for me and appears to have fixed the usb device not recognised issue. It is still early days but so far from a soft or hard boot, the dock pro initiates and operates as it always should have.

maybe try complete removing razer products & drivers from your install and reinstalling just synapse 4 (without all the other junk) just to start off with and see if it works? This is pretty much what I did after the firmware update to the dock pro.

I spoke too soon, what a pile of junk Razer is, back to the same issue as before, “invalid code descriptor”.

Hi!

Since Razer failed to fix it, I found a work around for it. Just use a USB-hub or if your monitor supports USB devices, connect the mouse dock to that and then connect the USB-hub or monitor to your PC. This way, the OS will bypass recognition of the mouse dock during startup and instead loads the drivers for the secondary USB hub/monitor USB port. This also doesn’t effect the mouse dock syncing with Razer Synapse. Since I used this method, I never get the error again.

This works 100%. I have a Mouse Dock Pro with Basilisk 35K, MSI B660M Motherboard, and Synapse 3. Razer Mouse Dock Pro is now connected via my Asus VG27AQL3A monitor instead of direct to the motherboard.

I connected it via a USB-C hub. Now it works fine.
MSI Fastboot not activated.

Anyone with the issue with the Basilisk V3 Pro no longer pairing with the Mouse Pro Dock after this latest firmware?

WinterSkybitbay874

I bought a bear and a docking station, the bear works, the docking station works too, but the docking station can't find the bear, essentially it has become useless, as far as I can see this is a problem that the reserve is not able to solve, but trying garbage in the form of non-working devices can

Same issue here.
MSI Board (Z790), Razer Basilisik V3 Pro 35k + Mouse Dock Pro.
Every reboot i need to un- and plug my mouse dock again to get it working.

  • Reinstalled synapes
  • Removed all drivers before
  • Put Mousedock on a usb hub including (Keyboard an Webcam)
  • Tried to play around with MSI board settings

Any ideas?
It looks like nobody has figured out whats the real problem so far?
