Razer Naga mouse buttons not respecting Ctrl+key bind

I have a Razer Naga Classic and I am having trouble with keybinds. Using the Synapse 2 software, I set all of the key binds to Ctrl+Number. When pressing the button, this triggers both a Num and a Ctrl+Num key press, whereas it should only trigger a Ctrl+Num. I believe it's a software issue as I didn't have this problem with my previous version of Synapse 2 which I had installed before reinstalling Windows. Has anyone else come across this and have a solution, or am I SOL?
