Razer Naga Pro V2 wireless unusable due to stuttering

I have been using a Razer Naga Pro V2 for a few months flawlessly on both Mac and Windows systems with the 2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth. Today it started losing connectivity intermittently every few seconds on 2.4GHz. I switched to bluetooth and it’s even worse. It acts as if it is completely asleep for 1 second of every 3 seconds. The only way it is usable now is via the direct USB connection. The bluetooth functionality is so poor, the device rarely even stays awake long enough to show up as a pairing option. This defective behavior is consistent across operating systems, different devices, with Synapse on/off, and through system restarts. Since it simultaneously affects both 2.4GHz mode and bluetooth, I am assuming it is a defect with the mouse itself and not a network or dongle issue. Any suggestions that would fix this?

Hi isaac_newbton,

I understand your experiencing wireless connection issue with your Razer Naga V2 Pro. Since the issue is happening on both 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth across different systems. Allow me to ask a few questions to isolate the issue.

  • Has anything changed recently such as a firmware update, OS update, Synapse update, or even a new USB device nearby?
  • When using the 2.4 GHz dongle, have you already tried a different USB port or connecting it directly instead of through a hub or adapter?
  • On Bluetooth, does the mouse fail to pair entirely, or does it pair and then start dropping input a few seconds later?
  • If you leave Synapse completely uninstalled or closed, does the behavior change at all?

Please try the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. Fully charge the mouse first, then test it again wirelessly.
  2. Power the mouse off for a minute, then turn it back on.
  3. If possible, try re-pairing Bluetooth and re-connecting the 2.4 GHz dongle from scratch.
  4. Test the dongle on a different USB port, preferably directly on the system and not through a USB hub.
  5. Update your Razer Naga V2 Pro firmware by following the steps here.
  6. Please also avoid placing the dongle near your Wi-Fi router as it may affect the connectivity.

If the problem persist, please send me a PM the device serial number and proof of purchase for warranty validation. Kindly upload it to Google Drive, and set it to "Public" or “Anyone Who Has The Link”. Thanks!
