Razer Nari Ultimate Dongle Replacement

I have had this headset for at least 2 years, It's worked fantastically the entire time right up until a few days ago when it stopped connecting. headset works fine with the cable connection, I've tried to use the various utilities to fix it and none them of worked so i went to look for a new dongle online and could find nothing, then i saw other posts of people with the same problem. Can anyone help with solving this issue.

can anyone from razer give us some answer?¡ i have the same issue amd i cant fix it, i need help with that if i give us my serial number can i get some support?

 

Same issue although i dont think it was an update it just stopped working on its own. When i connect it back up again sometimes I get a connection for about 20 secs and then it stops working. Same reason why I cannot run the recovery tool as the dongle disconnects at about 20%. It is really bad not to have a fix for this and I will definitely replace my go to gaming accessory company because of this if no solution is found 

Same identical issue here - the dongle quit working, none of the advised repairs work, and I cannot find a replacement. It was such a great headset too. It’s really disappointing and it feels like planned obsolescence. 

hello a tous , je vois que je suis pas le seul , mais mince , cest de  l obsolescence programmé ? moi je suis encore sous garanti,  j ai besoin que du dongle , si j ai pas de reponse suite a mon mail ,  je renvoi leurs merde , et je change de marque . razer la marque qui se casse la gueule !!!  trop fort !!!!!! , une marque qui te fait payer au prix fort , par des materiaux bas de gamme,  inadmissible !!

 

Exact same problem… gets a connection and then looses it after 20 sec. seems very weird that all the problems started a few months back on so many different systems (I used it very rarely the last year)

Mine stopped working.  1 year old headset.  So expensive and so trash.

I won't buy their headsets anymore

I pasted the answer we received in DMs on the prev page. The answer for now is : if you are still under guarantee : RMA, if not : wait and pray for them to produce some so we can buy or buy the 50$ from scalpers on the web.

Headset has been rock solid for 2 years, no issues, little over a month ago I noticed it dropping the USB connection and reconnecting over and over on my works laptop, so I went back to using an old wired headset on my works laptop, wasn’t an issue.

 

Just tried it today on my own machine, chalking it up to being an issue with my works laptop or a conflict, it’s doing the same thing on my PC, just keeps dropping and reconnecting, a little shocked to find this is happening to multiple people around the same time.

I would like to ditto those above, DATE OF PURCHASE, 22 Feb 2021.
 

My headset started to connect/disconnect about 2/4 months ago and was getting worse these past 2 weeks, it finally gave out today (6/14/2023).

I have tried much troubleshooting, no use. Restart pc, multiple usb ports, razer nari pairing tool, razer dongle recovery tool, reinstalling all drivers and razer apps, using different computers, no use. The headset is in perfect shape and could last another 2 years but its very sad to see that Razer has not taken this issue more seriously as it is completely useless at this stage.

In April 2020 I bought the Razer Nari Ultimate Overwatch LUCIO special edition. Payed huge buck as everything imported here in Brazil is quite expensive.

2 months later it stopped working. As I could not make it work I bought a Hyper X at the time and let this sit in my closet.

Few days ago my Hyper X earmuffs were all worn out. I did not want to buy a new headset and decided to fix this Razer POS again. Nothing worked. Their CS did not help.

Back in the days I was an all razer kind of guy. With top of the line wireless mouse, keyboard, RGB mousepad, chroma SDK Led lights etc. I got so pissed off with this that  I sold everything and now use only other brands. I also try to scare all my friends from buying Razer. The few that used to (the others know razer is garbage) now go to other brands.

I just keep this one cause it is a special edition from a game I love. 

Razer never again.

Honestly it seems like once razer have your money they couldn’t be bothered to make sure the product continues to work, if something goes wrong you’re on your own. I’ve owned my nari ultimates for about 2 years and they worked fine until now (which is a decent lifespan i guess but I expected them to die in a less stupid way than this) and of course I can’t a replacement dongle for mine. So they’re just an overpriced paperweight now.

 

At this point I only can recommend anyone who has this issue (because it seems like no one has actually been able to get this problem solved, its unfortunately not its fixable due to razers terrible customer support.) I would say you’re better off throwing your headset in the trash or sticking them in their box and putting them away and buying something else NOT made by razer

And the dongle stopped working after synapse update.

I deleted synapse and installed it again.

 

But the headset does not work no more, because dongle will be corrupt. :( Please help

They make it hard by design. So you need to buy a new one

but new one is not available.

Not the USB. They want you to buy new headphones.

 

 

I have same issue. Out of the blue dongle stopped working. It’s not recognized by any PC/Laptop I tried.

Just stopped working completely. Can’t use headset wirelessly.

 

Tried using the Firmaware upgrade tool but it is not able to push firmware to the dongle. Getting “wireless usb transceiver firmware update failed” error.

Then I noticed that when I plug in the dongle it says “Avnera AV6301”.

But basically I squeezed the dongle a bit and gave it a bit of a twist and it came back to life.

But basically I squeezed the dongle a bit and gave it a bit of a twist and it came back to life. 

The Avnera thing is an old bug that used to be a blocker but should be patched now.

Hey did that thing ever work? I debated trying it myself.

Seems more and more people are getting this as each day passes. I just woke up, updated razer synapse and boom, headset no longer works.

 

now it could just be a coincidence….but i used the headset for 7 hours yesterday no problems, today as soon as the system updates, i am unable to listen to any audio, but headset will stay connected as long as no audio is played.

 

its potentially possible theyre coding the dongles to stop working or i just got unlucky….but the headset worked perfect 6 hours prior to the update and it breaking 

I found if you push hard on the dongle while using the recovery tool it’ll work for the time being but there always needs to be weight. So I have taped my onto my pc and it works for awhile then stops. Just have to repeat the process till they figure out a replacement plan.
