Razer Nari Ultimate Firmware wont download

My friends have been complaining about my mic quality which is set to the (dvd quality) setting. so i took to the live chat support and they have told me to download the firmware which makes sense but when i go to download the firmware. It says synapse is running. Even when it is not. I have tried closing the app, unistalling the app and then try and download the firmware. I have rebooted my computer multiple times and nothing seems to have done the trick. Any suggestions ?

Hey there! Thanks for bringing this up to our Support thread. Just to confirm, your headset is set to 2 channel, 16 bit, 48000Hz DVD Quality but the sensitivity is still not fixed? Please ensure to check the following below in your Razer Synapse 3.0 and Windows settings:

  • Be sure that the microphone is fully extended when in use. If the mic is in the stored position, it will pick up sounds from the earcup.
  • Check that the PC is configured to use the correct recording device under Control Panel > Sound > Recording. Select the proper recording device, right-click on it, and select "Set Default Device" or "Select Default Communication Device".
  • Check the microphone levels at Control Panel >Sound > Recording > Properties > Levels and adjust accordingly.
  • Check that the PC is configured to use the correct recording device under Control Panel > Sound > Recording. Select the proper recording device, right-click on it, and select "Set Default Device" or "Select Default Communication Device".
  • Under Control Panel > Sound > Communications, select "Do Nothing".
  • Under Control Panel > Sound > Recording > Properties > Enhancements, select "Disable all sound effects" or try a combination of enhancements that works for your setup.
