Razer Nari Ultimate PS4 mic monitoring (sidetone) issues.
I have a brand new Razer Nari Ultimate and I'm using it mostly on ps4. I wanted to enable Mic Monitoring (sidetone) so I used synapse 3 to turn it on. It seems fine while on pc (although the volume needs to be turned up fully on headset to hear the sidetone). But once I use it on ps4, the sidetone audio is strange. The audio of my own voice sounds terrible and seems like the level is peaking every time I speak. (This is just the sidetone audio, not the audio output from the mic to other players, which seems to be fine).
Sidetone also can't be heard until the volume is bumped up to near full on the headset. I tried to lower the sidetone volume on synapse but whatever you change it to, it still has the same 'peaking' sound. (making it unusable). It's also worth noting, even when the headset volume is lowered (and the sidetone volume is almost non existent) you can still hear it sounds like it's 'peaking' and strange. Another issue seems to be the game/chat control volume wheel while on ps4. When turned down, it turns down all volume (including both game and chat) and when turned up, both are raised. (Not sure if this would be related to the first problem but worth a mention)
All help appreciated
