RAZER Nommo Pro - How do I use optical output?

Hello everybody! I am having an issue connecting my RAZER Nommo Pro to my Alienware aurora R9 via optical? The cable, and both terminals are in working order (tested on another optical audio device) and the cable is plugged in firmly at both ends and the 'Optical' setting on the control pad is selected. Cannot seem to figure out what the issue is here? Does anybody know how to fix this? Thankyou.
