Razer nommo v2 pro subwoofer not connecting to speakers

Got a new Nommo v2 pro, got the speaker and wireless pod working, the subwoofer turns on with a solid green light, but no matter what the speakers don't detect the sub and I get no bass, the speakers flash red to signal that no sub is on or connected. The pairing button on the sub doesn't seem to do anything, tried reinstalling drivers, power cycling both the speakers and the sub but nothing has worked. I have tried with and without synapse.

Hello O94kiwi,

I had the same issue and started when I had to unplugged the subwoofer to relocate it.

This is what I did and solved the issue.

I downloaded the “RAZER NOMMO V2 PRO MASTER GUIDE” (it is a pdf doc that you can download from Razer site).

  1. I unplugged and disconnected all the cables from the unit, including the subwoofer
  2. I removed the batteries from the control pod
  3. I waited 15 minutes
  4. Then, I followed the steps from the Razer Nommo V2 Pro Master guide
    1. I connected the units in the order instructed in the guide
    2. Then I inserted the batteries in the control pod
    3. Note: before I inserted the batteries, I could tell the system made a sound when all the units connected, and the speakers stopped blinking the red light. This was an indication that the system reconfigured itself

Note;  I did not uninstalled drivers and software.

I hope this helps

Thanks for the response. I've done this several times, I didn't do the pod before but that doesn't really play a part in pairing the subwoofer to the speakers. The part in the guide that never happens for me is where the subwoofer is meant to blink green to indicate pairing and go solid green upon successful pairing, its always solid green for me from the moment of powering on, it only blinks if I press the pairing button which never actually works, it just blinks endlessly. There really should've been a wired mode as a backup, would save a lot of the hassle of sending back the entire set.

Mine just started doing this and it’s the same as yours. Disconnected everything and then connected again according to the guide. As soon as I connect power to the sub, the light is green. If I press the pairing button, it flashes but never connects.
Do we need to submit a support ticket for this?

this is incredibly frustrating. I’ve opened a support ticket which has finally been escalated (L1 tech support  is never helpful with their copy/paste responses). The suggestion from the Razer Escalation Team didn’t do anything to boost my confidence that this problem can be resolved. “Update the firmware” was the best they could come up with. I’m already running the latest firmware and have provided this information previously but even if I wasn’t, how does he expect the firmware update to work without the subwoofer connected?! Seriously, how does this guy not know that?

Same problem. Tried reconnecting everything in order. I am returning to Amazon. Bunk product.

yep, I’m RMAing mine tomorrow unless a miracle happens

So I just go these and they have been great.  But this has been a big annoyance.   I upgraded to these from the Logitech G560 and never had any issues with my subwoofer.

Now that I upgraded to these the sub constantly disconnects and I have physically unplug from power and re-plug them back in for it to start working again.   This happens at least every so often.  But for a nearly 500 dollar device there should not be issues like these.   I have other subs that don't disconnect themselves all around my house from LG to SONOS and this is the only one I have to constantly do this to.

I have tried these steps and even a simple power on power off from the dial does not bring the sub back online.  Its very frustrating for this product to do that on my PC which I game a lot on so for this to happen all the time is a problem.   Has anyone else run into this issue.

Well I've lived without the subwoofer these last few months, but now I made a fresh install of Windows 11, tried the pairing utility software and it reconnected the subwoofer, the software said it was already paired. Whether the subwoofer will drop connection again I have no idea, but for the time being it's finally working.

I found a solution! You MUST do these in these EXACT steps, do not skip anything or go out of order and it should fix your problem.

1. Connect the left speaker connector to the left speaker port on the right speaker.

Before connecting the left speaker connector, align its pins correctly to the left speaker port. DON'T FORCEFULLY PLUG the left speaker connector into the left speaker port

2. With the appropriate AC plug for your region attached to the power adapter, connect it to the power port on the right gaming speaker and plug it into a power outlet.

3. Connect the regional power cord to the power port on the subwoofer and plug it into a power outlet.

4. Rotate the bottom cover to detach and insert the AAA batteries as indicated in the battery compartment.

Caution: The included AAA batteries are non-rechargeable. Dispose of batteries in accordance with your local environmental laws. For your safety, use only lithium or alkaline batteries.

Regine

5. Reattach and rotate the bottom cover to lock it in place.

I've updated firmware and gone away

I had the same issue. I did only two things and I’m not sure if the first had any part in it, but I write it down.

  1. I unplugged the woofer and plugged it back in. Because I was just testing stuff, I only had it out for like 5 seconds.
  2. I removed the batteries from the pod. I re-inserted them and suddenly the woofer picked up after 20 or 30 sec.

I don’t know why it worked, but leaving it here for others.
