Ive had my Razer Phone (1st version) since February 2018 and purchased it with a 24 month contract from Three UK.
Up until this month, ive had no major issues with the device, however recently charging has become a massive issue to the point where im now seriously concerned.
When I plug the device in, 80% of the time on first attempt nothing happens now. I have to jiggle and move the cable around to get it to show the charging icon and prompt. Sometimes I have to place my phone at absurd angles so the charger wont move and it doesn't stop charging.
Just for clarification, im using the official Razer wall plug and USB cable provided with the phone, however I have also tried:
- Replacing the wall plug
- Replacing the charging cable
- Using multiple different charging locations
- Carefully cleaning out the charging port so its free from dust and any other foreign objects
- Restarting the device
- Turning the device off entirely
On inspection, the charging port area appears completely fine, however im sure you will agree this is defiantly now how difficult it should be to charge a phone.
Ive also had issues with the USB-C to 3.5mm headphone connector recently to the point where it no longer works too. So im considering ordering a replacement.
Any support or ideas would be much appreciated.
