Been having troubles with charging the phone (have to find the sweet spot). Powered off the phone at 17% in hopes it would charge faster. Now the phone wont power on. Left it on the charger in hopes the phone would power back up, but still nothing. Plugged it into the computer in hopes I might be able to get into it, still nothing.

Have you tried switching to another cable? If the phone still does not turn on after 30 mins to 1 hour of charging time, you'll highly likely have to send it in for a battery replacement.
