Razer Pro Click - Tilt scroll/response wired

Purchased this mouse a year or so back, worked great out of the box with a fast tilt scroll speed - then after installing synapse this has been totally downgraded and I can't find a way to undo this, or a way to roll back the firmware. I'm also finding that leaving the mouse plugged in via usb is an issue. When I leave it connected and power off I'm finding that when I power back on my system the mouse isn't recognised and I have to physically unplug and plug back in the cable each reboot. Can anyone advise? I can live with the cable issue, but the scroll wheel being painfully slow is frustrating as it worked perfectly originally and clearly is a software issue.
