My Razer Raptor 144hz keeps flickering when HDR is turned on (both in the monitor and Windows settings). It isn’t an “on/off flicker”, but instead the display brightness or contrast changes rapidly as if the monitor is trying to adjust to the scene. It is more visible on a white background (like a website), but happens on dark background as well. Sometimes it’s more subtle, sometimes there’s a bright (pinkish) flash.

I’m confident the problem is with the monitor since it occurs when connected to my other laptop as well.

Please don’t ask me to re-install Synapse, since my other laptop has absolutely no Razer software installed but the issue persists. I’ve also checked cable connection and issue persists when using either USB-C or DP. I also have the latest Nvidia and AMD drivers on my Blade 14 (2021) and my refresh rate is set correctly (144 Hz). I’ve done a factory reset for the monitor and I’m running firmware 1.03, which was provided to me since I was having the RGB flicker issue also.

Any tips or should I return the display as defective?
