Razer recovery stick - install to new partition

Hi, I'm planning to upgrade my hard drive (Razer Blade 13 early 2020). I will have two main OS partitions. I just wanted to ask if the Razer recovery stick is able to install factory OS to a specific partition on a hard drive, rather than overwriting the entire drive? My plan is to take a disk image of my current OS (which is the original install from new) and write that image onto one partition of the new drive. Then I would like to use the recovery stick to write a default new factory OS to the second partition on the drive. Would this work?
