Razer Ripsaw HD doesn't have 1440p passthrough

Hi, I just got the Razer Ripsaw HD. I hooked up the monitor to the output on the ripsaw, and ran a cable from the laptop (for gaming on) to the input on the Razer. Then pluged the USB into my PC which I will use for streaming. My 1440p 144hz monitor only displays at 1080p @ 60 fps which is horrifying to look at. I have seen the 144hz guide on the razer site, that is for cloning on a computer that has two graphic port outputs and my laptop only has one output. Any way to fix this or is this device just a bit of a dud that can't support this kind a pass through? I thought this device was suppose to support up to 4k passthrough and I would've accepted a fps loss if I still kept my 1440p resolution. Otherwise I might as well have got an elgato or one of the cheap avermedia devices. Appreciate any assistance you can provide! Regards,

Did you ever find a answer to this? I have the same issue.

No I did not and this device just gathers dust now. Seems the Ripsaw cannot do 4k pass thru as they advertise.
