I’m having a very odd and yet specific issue. I’m working with trying to get my Original XBox to work through OBS to stream, that’s fairly normal I’d imagine with capture cards, however I’m running into a bigger issue of the video is bypassing my computer entirely, but still appearing on my monitor. OBS can still recognize sound output and I can clearly hear it, but any attempt to view the Ripsaw’s feed is not working. Seems to be transferring only ½ of it’s capture, cause not even the default camera app on windows 11 recognizes the video of capture card.
I am currently using a specialty HDMI converter for my OG XBox called “Kaico Original Xbox to HDMI Converter” that has a special converter attached to the XBOX plug, that then needs a HDMI cable to connect to either my monitor or capture card. When plugging it in is shows a notification through Synapsis that it is stuck at 1440 x 240, showing that is should be showing video. When using a different HDMI converter with the OG XBOX’s VGA cables instead, it works just fine and shows in both OBS and in the camera app.
I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, trying different methods . . . for some reason either this converter is screwing up the feed or something else is happening. It doesn’t make any sense for the video to still be going to my monitor but not appearing to existent on my computer. Any help would be grateful <3
