Razer Seiren Elite will not be detected by synapse... period.

Just got my Seiren Elite today and hooked it up. While windows detects it, and it does record audio there are several significant problems here. 1) the background noise is INSANE. I mean absolutely insane. Even when idle the thing sounds like it's in a wind tunnel at all times. 2) Synapse refuses to detect it. Removing synapse, doing a fresh install by removing folders and using ccleaner, running a repair, nothing works. Synapse will not see this thing at all. 3) the driver the device pulled is a generic usb audio driver from MS. All my other razer devices show a driver from razer. To boot, the driver is over a year old. Does the Seiren not receive updates? 4) Swapped USB ports, no change. 5) Tried my wife's pc, which also has razer synapse, and same story. generic USB audio driver, no detection by synapse. Looking around online, and even these very forums, show many many people with similar complaints. Specs: OS Windows 10 v1909 Mobo: MSI Z390 CPU: I9-9900k

The Seiren Elite isn't supported on any version of Synapse. It is supposed to be a plug and play device. By the way, is the high-pass filter enabled, and are you constantly seeing the red LED ring around the mic? If it is still is picking up unwanted noise, please try the following steps:
  • Ensure that your microphone is positioned close to your mouth; lower the gain of your microphone.
  • Ensure that there are no fans or air-conditioning units blowing directly onto your Razer Seirēn Elite.
  • Broadcasting software like OBS comes equipped with plugins that can assist in the reduction of background noise.
As for the generic drivers, the mic should still appear as Razer Seiren Elite on the device manager. Please try to uninstall the generic driver then run Windows updater. In any case, please PM me so I can help you sort things out.
