Razer Seiren Mini Detected but Not Working

So the razer seiren mini was just delivered to me today. I unboxed the package and tested the mic. Unfortunately, it did not pick up any sound. I checked whether it was recognized by my laptop and it was (was even set as default microphone). I searched google for help: driver update, changed the microphone properties, microphone privacy settings, delete leftover razer drivers, restart the laptop, etc. however all of these did not work.
