Razer Seiren V2 Pro only works if Synapse is not installed

Hi,

So I plugged in the Seiren, I installed Synapse, I get volume levels and stuff on the Stream Mixer tab in Synapse however no application nor windows detect any volume levels from the Input device.

I turned off stream mixing in Synapse, no change. Unusable.

I uninstalled Synapse and the microphone started working perfectly.

I reinstalled Synapse, the microphone stopped working.

I uninstalled Synapse again, the microphone started working.

On another PC where I had synapse installed, I plugged it in, and I didn’t allow Synapse to update/install the drivers for Seiren, and it works. So right now it doesn’t show up in Synapse at all, but windows can use it perfectly.

I tried messing around with the virtual inputs, toggling exclusive mode, nothing helped. How can I use the Seiren V2 Pro with Synapse?

No fixes for my laptop but on PC it worked after installing the Synapse module. So I guess only that laptop has some weirdness (ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED UX3402ZA-KP125W)

Once I bring it home in the future I’ll test on my other PCs and laptops.

Right now without downloading synapse mic works perfectly but I want to use it with synapse but in discord I cant hear my voice at all, maybe let me see if I just need to download the module then and see if it works.

When I refer to module, I meant how Synapse is installed for other stuff (keyboard, mouse, sound, etc.) but it hasn’t installed the specific update to handle the Seiren.

So Synapse was running but not seeing the Seiren until I updated synapse and rebooted.

On my PC this was the case and I was scared to update (aka install the Seiren module into Synapse).

But since I had to eventually reboot, it did install the update but thankfully it did not break the microphone (on the PC).

All of this is on latest Windows 11 with Core Isolation enabled, Seiren is plugged into motherboard USB port directly.

Though I did experiment plugging it into unpowered USB hubs, specifically a noname USB C hub, an Anker USB C hub and a Razer BaseStation V2 with the same result: on PC it worked with all 3, on laptop it didn’t work with any of them when Synapse was installed. So I guess the problem is software related.

Would reinstalling and uninstalling synapse be technically the same thing?, because my synapse is detecting my microphone but it not detecting my voice.. neither in discord or any other platform.. my seiren x microphone was working perfectly idk why this Seiren v2 Pro mic giving me a hard time..

Hi guys, any updates on this?
I got a Razer Seiren Mini V3 and have the exact same problem. The mic just doesn’t work when synapse is installed.

So apparently i was able to fix this (dont know for how long though). I had the problem that Synapse does detect Razer Syren V2 Pro, but my PC did not, I could not select it as an audio input device at all.

In the device manager, there was faulty device that Windows could not recognize (this is your Syren mic). After automatic search for the drivers, the audio drivers were installed and now the PC does see the mic and it works together with Razer Synapse.

Try this one and let me know if it fixed the issue
