What is the correct connection for ethernet backhaul? Modem > Router 1 WAN > Switch > Router 2 WAN or something different? I cannot get my mesh connection beyond "Acceptable" in any configuration. The ONLY time I have had an "Optimal" connection was when the routers were literally 6 feet away from each other. Right now they are about 15 feet (1 router in basement other is almost directly above it on top floor) away with only an "Acceptable" connection. If these things need to have direct line of sight in order to have an optimal connection, then you guys are misrepresenting the mesh capabilities of these routers.

Hi,
Not to get worry about the suggested connection condition by the our APP unless High Throughput is a must for you.
The Mesh network is very much dependent on the environment and blockage in between Master and Mesh node placement. For example if your home is separated by thick concrete wall, the signal will drop very quickly.
Even under "POOR" connection, the Mesh backhaull is still able to operate at 300-400Mbps data rate setting. For "ACCEPTABLE" condition, backhaul data rate can operate 400-700Mbps which is more than enough to serve most application.
If you still need to know more about the your mesh setup condition if it can serve your purpose, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service.
Hope this help.
