Razer Strider Chroma not being detected by Synapse 4

This problem persists since the beta. The Strider Chroma mousepad shows up in Synapse 4 but permanently stays downloading its drivers, with no way to fix it.

Sometimes the name Razer Strider Chroma shows up, but remains “loading” like this either way.

I’ve already attempted to connect and reconnect the device, and to completely uninstall the Strider Chroma’s drivers and then restart to reinstall them. It still wont work.

This issue doesn't happen with Synapse 3, so my device is not the problem (I’ve also seen other threads about this elsewhere, with no conclusions). I just purchased a BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%, which only works with Synapse 4, so I’m completely unable to customize this mouse pad at the moment. Any other suggestions?

Clean install with razer cleanup tool? If you haven’t tried this tool then try below steps.

  1. Uninstall Synapse
  2. Download & run this tool: https://rzr.to/Tf53xj to remove any razer drivers/leftovers
  3. Then restart your PC
  4. After reboot install Synapse again (as administrator).

Just attempted this, I uninstalled Synapse with Revo Uninstaller (so it didn’t leave any residue), then ran the Razer Cleanup to remove all the drivers, then restarted and reinstalled. No dice unfortunately, the same thing happened. This is clearly a Synapse 4 issue.

I’ve been having the same problem. Tried everything. Removed all drivers and did a fresh install of synapse 4. After that didn’t work removed drivers and did a fresh install of synapse 3 then upgraded to synapse 4 and it still didn’t work. Changing ports and restarting also does nothing. Really want to upgrade to Synapse 4 but this Strider Chroma issue needs to be fixed.

I have the same issue and have tried many times to fix this issue.  Runs fine in Synapse 3 but 4 always just keeps trying to download but never does.  I cannot control the Strider Chroma in Synapse 4.  Every other Razer device works in 4.  This has been going on since the beta.  I have done clean uninstalls withe Razer Utility and REVO and installed 3 first (works in 3) then 4 and installed 4 fresh.  Nothing has worked so far.

Hey guys,

If you’re still experiencing the issue with Synapse 4, please send me a PM with your Synapse logs which will help our team in their investigation. You can upload them to any hosting service like Google Drive and provide a shareable link. Just check the file so that anyone with the link can view it.
