Razer Surround Pro broken after Windows 11 22H2 update

As the title says, it's completely broken. There's 0 sound, it doesn't even allow me to switch to my realtek sound audio device in the sound settings. I have tried reinstalling it twice. Why doesn't razer update this software? I've been having to use the bluestacks workaround to get this thing to work normally and now it doesn't work at all.

I'm having the exact same problem, only I just updated to win 11 from win 10, where it worked just fine. I've had to uninstall it completely and use my sound card's built in 3d things. not as good, or as easy to set up. I really hope that a future update fixes it, or a workaround becomes knows. If i figure it out I'll let you know. P

I have the same problem - no sound after Update (works perfectly with 22H1). Reinstalled it, but doesn't help.

If it turns out that this has been abandoned by Razer (and I suspect that's the case), I got almost the same results with free, open source software. Have a look for Equalizer APO and the add-on HeSuVi (Headphone Surround Virtualizations).

Hopefully not, it was a nice software - i tested boom3d and its also ok.

So I finally came up with a solution! After so much trouble, I finally succeeded! The procedure is simple. 1. Go to device manager. 2. Add legacy hardware 3. There, leave the first box checked. 4.Give another 5. Video and game sound controllers 6.Select Razer and 7.1 sound 7.That's it 7.1 sound will now be in device manager as well as sound menu Let me know how it goes Good Luck :-)

The best way to fix this major issue (the fix is a pain in the butt because you have to do this every time you restart or power on your computer)
1. Go to the windows menu, all apps

2 . Find 7.1 Surround sound and right click and press uninstall

3 . It will take you to the windows settings with apps, find 7.1 surround sound, press 3 dots, and select uninstall

  1. It will take you to the screen above. Press repair next to surround sound.
  2. After it repairs, it will open the app for 7.1 surround sound. You need to set surround sound as default, make sure windows sonic for headphones is off, and it should work!
