Razer Synapse 2 Tartarus V1

Hello.

I understand that Synapse 2 is going to be discontinued and will not receive further updates. Currently i am using a Tartarus v1. What’s the solution to keep the macros working?

While I understand the need to discontinue the software I can’t see why the last version of the software will not be able to be used from now on. I don’t need the updates, i just need my hardware device to function in the way it was projected to do so.

@ Razer support what’s your solution for this?

Cheers!

Radu

I’ve your same problem… and i can add I think it’s not a good environmental practice having to thrash a device because of a missing driver. Thinking about my Kraken headset, broken after 1 year of 2-hours-a-week usage, I can only state that Razer is getting worse and worse and I’m seriously questioning about my trust in them (also, about the quality of their products).

Currently I’m searching for a replacement of my Tartarus, I looked r-WASD and Azeron and they both seem a good alternative. I’m also looking for custom software that can manage the macros, maybe it would be a good practice at least to release some open-source software so the community could at least try to use those devices in the following years.

This is sad, because Tartarus was (and still is) a real good control device for many games (most of all, the WASD ones). Having to dismiss it because Razer doesn’t care about its users any more is sad (and makes me abviously very upset).

This Is amazing to me that their new software doesn’t support ALL their old products. What is the reasoning behind not supporting the tartarus v1 in the new software? Simple… buy a new one. “Even though the one you have would work 100% find if we just assimilated it into our software, we don’t care., we only care about money.”

For this reason @Razer Admin we need someone to push support for the old products. Is there a place I can voice my need for the v1 to be supported in the new synapse version?

Without a voice for the consumer the company reputation is inevitably diminished, little by little, until one day you’re a company everyone hates… like ASUS, Alienware, etc. Want to be like them?

If I am eventually forced to buy a new keypad because razer no longer supports the one I paid 130 bucks for… regardless of if it was 11 years ago or not… I’ll never buy another razer product again. I have over 400 dollars of razer products hooked up to my pc right now that I have been very pleased with, and have recommended to other people to purchase, numerous times… and the company will never get another cent from me. I’ll then be the guy that tells people not to dare buy from razer, because they don’t care about their customers at all, just their shareholders.
