Razer Synapse 3 lighting delayed

Good afternoon.

 

Yesterday I set up a Windows 11 install on a new PC. Relatively high spec (5080 + 9800x3d). I plugged in my Razer peripherals (Basilisk v3 + Black widow v3 + mic) which had worked flawlessly on my prior PC, and installed Synapse + Chroma. Both have issues.

 

Chroma: Dynamic lighting effects are VERY delayed: up to 20 seconds. I can visually see the virtual keyboard on the chroma studio light up in response to key presses, then up to 20 seconds later my keyboard will light up accordingly.

 

Synapse: Mouse DPI does not work when I use the DPI change button. Literally does not change anything. Clutch button does not do anything. I can’t configure the clutch button at all, ie change what DPI it will set the mouse to.

The button to switch the mouse between standard and free-scrolling will initially work okay, but within a few minutes will become delayed for up to minutes. 

 

Microphone seems to work great.

 

What I have tried:

  • Repairing in app
  • Disabling custom lighting effects in windows
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling
  • Closing and reopening
  • Restarting PC
  • Combinations of the above
  • Scouring the internet - nobody else seems to be having this problem.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks.

I also have the same chroma issue. The effects were working flawlessly on my 13900KS and 14900KS, but after having so many stability issues with those processors, I got a refund and switched to a 9950X3D.

 

After installing the 9950X3D, I immediately noticed the delay in the reactive effect. I tried everything you did as well to no success. It may be an issue with the X3D chips, but I feel like this issue would be more widespread if that were the case.

 

I also tried installing the latest bios for my motherboard and made sure my chipset drivers were up to date, but still have the same issue. I turned off the reactive effect, but would like to use it if there is a fix available.

 

CPU: Ryzen 9 9950X3D
Motherboard: Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master
Operating System: Windows 11, but also had this issue on Windows 10

I own a 9800x3d + MSI Tomahawk x870 and just got a Blackwidow v4. I installed razer synapse, and selected the ripple effect just to test it out and i noticed it is very laggy. Also I tested with Huntsman V2 and same issue. If I plug the keyboard into the 10gb USB seems that the delay is gone. But this is unusual. 10gb for some leds something else is the issue. On other pc/laptop both keyboard work fine. I am thinking it might be the moba/ryzen cpu or some usb setting. It really bother me. If I close the synapse and i use the onboard lighting (FN+ctrl+8 to select ripple) seems that it is working properly and there is no lighting delay.
