Razer Synapse Updated Destroyed My Razer Freyja

This message is to the Razer Company. Ever since the last razer synapse update my Razer Freyja’s haptics has stopped working (my freyja is not broken). I’ve done everything in my power to fix this issue, even sending my freyja to you guys for a replacement just to get the new one and have the SAME ISSUE! Upon further inspection I’ve come to the conclusion that this is a software issue and many others also have the same problem. We all spent our hard earned money to support your company as well as enjoy this unique experience  and we think its only fair your create an update ASAP to address and solve this major issue. Please response in a timely fashion to inform us of your plans to fix this. Please don’t earn a bad rep off of a simple fix.

Sorry to hear you have to go through this too, just know you’re not alone. Very unfortunate, especially for how much we paid for the Razer Freyja. I’m hoping they have a plan to do something about this issue immediately! But I’ve been VERY vocal anywhere, I see Razer about this issue. Hopefully everyone else including you has been very vocal as well, the more people who address this they’ll have no choice but to fix this asap. Not fair to us...

I have the same problem with my Freyja . Bought it Dezember last year , at the beginning it work  fine , then the problems with disconnections begann . Now for a few weeks it also stops working . I reinstalled the Software , sometimes it works a short time , then it stops working . I have also some noises from one vibration modul so i have to turn it down to 30% , then its fine . I hope they fix this problem ASAP .

I suspect it’s firmware issue. I was running the beta synapse 4 and it was fine. Although the beta was buggy, so I removed it and that’s when my problem started. I’m gonna go back to the beta and see what happens. I’ll report back.

I had tried the beta as well…same issue. It’ll always work with a fresh reinstall then stop working within minutes.

Yesterday i have also tried the Beta . It works then it stops working again . Then i dissable the Sensa HD option for Gaming and it works for another few minutes . But also stops working after a short time . So there must be an Software issue . Maybe Windows also makes problems with the Audio configuration and then Synapse  Sensa crash . I also have a Kraken V3 and it works fine .

Same. I have a couple other Razer products, Kraken V3 and Razer Clio. Those work just fine, it’s only the Freyja I have problems with. I’ve been reaching out to them and they seem to be ignoring me. This isn’t fair to us. Honestly I just ordered the HF8 Pro, I can’t deal with this poor communication with razer

Same here. Was working fine and now I have the blinking blue light and it will not see the Freyja. Tried different USB port and reinstalled software. Still the same issue. Synapse is showing the Freyja as no power, yet it vibrates when I adjust intensity on the pad. This is the first Razer product I’ve purchesed and it seems support is not replying to this issue. Am I missing something or is this this the way support reacts? Thanks

If it’s blinking blue I believe you’ve switched it to Bluetooth mode. Press the Bluetooth button on the Freyja and it should turn green again, that’s when you know it’s connected to the pc

i ended up installing the beta again, it worked for like 30 seconds. then i totally uninstalled everything razer and cleaned the registry. i ran the driver clean up tool and reinstalled synapse and its working now.

just tried it but when i ran the cleanup exe it said failed.

ok i’ll try it again, but what do i do when during the clean up it says “failed”?

Ok just tried it again, i think the process went as it shouldve. after running the clean drivers exe is Razer supposed to automatically pop back up and ask you to reinstall the apps? i did just that. i’m now about to try it, if it works i wont get too happy right away, but if i use it all tomorrow with no problems i will update you. sorry to be a nuisance i’m just trying to fix this issue that’s all.

its a no for me, tried and it worked for like 15 minutes, then it cut off. funny thing i noticed is that it seems to always malfunction when i play Battlefield 6

I am experiencing the exact same issue with my Razer Freyja as described by others here.

The Situation:

  • The internal haptic test within Razer Synapse 4 works perfectly (all 6 zones are vibrating during the test).

  • Hardware and Power: The seat cushion is connected directly to a wall socket and a motherboard USB port. Windows identifies the device, and the "HapticService" is running in the background.

The Problem: As soon as I try to use the Freyja with supported games or 3rd party software like SimHub (via Razer Sensa HD Haptics / Chroma SDK), there is absolutely no response.

  • SimHub shows the device as "Connected".

  • Testing haptic effects in SimHub or playing games with native Sensa support results in zero vibration.

  • It seems like the "Sensa HD" bridge or the Chroma SDK is not passing the data from the software to the hardware, even though the hardware itself is clearly functional.

I have already tried restarting the "HapticService" and the Razer background services, but the issue persists. This is very frustrating for a premium haptic product.

The more people I see with the same issue makes me even more frustrated. It seems like they don’t care about their customers. A simple update from them should fix everything. If not just give us all refunds regardless if our warranty is expired.

Alright, it ‘s working on my Razer Blade 18 after latest Synapse update but I can’t get it to work on my 6 year old MSI laptop.
