Razer Tartarus - how to repair, after disastrous software update?

Hi. My Razer Tartarus (v1, I guess, with green backlighting) has been an integral part of my daily gaming (flightsim) experience ever since I bought it, years ago: Today, I innocently allowed the software update which had been nagging at me for some time with its little window - and as a result, all my macros and profiles have vanished from the interface. When I open the GUI, I now just get a screen telling me to connect a Razer Synapse enabled device/’Visit Razer Support’/’Visit Razer Store’/’View Compatible Devices’ (according to the list on the Razer site, the Tartarus is a compatible device...).

The bottom line is that until I allowed the update, the device was working perfectly. I am really upset that it has been disabled and rendcered useless by this update. I know cloud storage was discontinued a while ago, and that is fine: please, I just need to get back my local/offline settings and the usual keyboard/macro interface. What do I need to install/remove/… do?! Can anyone please help? I can’t really sim without the Tartarus. Not a happy bunny!!

Windows 11, BTW

Thank you.
