Razer Tartarus Pro Crash on "L Stick" Mapping to "WASD"

Hello I'm having a few issues with my new Tartartus Pro. This is my first Razer product and it's not going very well. Between issues singing into the software and the fact it won't connect to send a ticket... so forum it is.. When I map the "L Stick" to my "WASD" keys to make use of the analogue keys (the main reason I went for the Pro over the V2), my game crashes after a few minutes. It works well, but doesn't last. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this with no luck. I have only tried in one game (Rage 2) so don't know if it's a game issue. But seeing I when I unmap the "L Stick" and just use the Tartarus mapped to my keyboard ("WASD), it works without issues, this definitely points toward an issue with the Tartarus or software. Any support or a fix would be great!

You will want to test the same configuration on other games. As far as I know, Rage 2 does not natively support controllers. You have to download device-specific drivers for them to work properly with the game. By the way, have you tried changing the in-game movement controls to the analog input instead of keybinding WASD?

Its the Xbox Game Pass for PC version, my elite controller works with it, without issue. I think it does natively support controllers. If no where would I down drivers? Never heard of this before sorry. Usually game just work with the controller. Also, changing the in game movement to analog input, I've never seen an option for this! Only to rebind the keys? Its works fine with gears 5, tested yesterday, expect for the annoying switching between controller and keyboard when the game give you control instructions.

My previous statement only applies to the Steam version. It's a totally different story if you have the Xbox Game Pass for PC. I think the game is detecting the keypad as another keyboard, which is why the analog input isn't working properly. Switch the joystick with the arrow set and try to change in-game movement controls. I doubt that it'll work, but it's worth the shot. I'd test it myself, but I don't own the game.

Didn't work. In fact, I'm not sure the joystick works at all. There are no axis's available in the windows joystick settings. Only one button which doesn't respond when pressed? Mind you it does appear to show correctly in Steam. Quiet disappointing if I'm tied to steam to get full functionality?

It just means that Rage 2 does not fully support the device since the keypad+joystick works properly on other games. There's not much that we can do if the problem is with the game. You will want to send a request of sorts to the Avalanche Studios and hope that they can whitelist the Tartarus Pro.
